  Review - 5 out of 5 Stars: This will be a short review as I have a stinking cold. I have loved the previous books in the secret detective agency series, and The Afternoon Tea Murders was no exception. Arthur is on a war work job at an isolated house, and when Benson raises concerns, Jane is sent to investigate.  In spite of my cold, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The plot was excellent, the characters well drawn, and the setting added to the mysterious atmosphere. I highly recommend this book and the whole series.   Review - 5 out of 5 stars: I have very much enjoyed the previous two books in this series, so I was thrilled to get my hands on Murder Wears Tartan. This time, Joyce and Ginger are travelling to Scotland, wear they see some majestic scenery, some culture, and stumble over a body. In spite of having a nasty cold when I read this book, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Ginger and Joyce’s banter is as sparkling as ever, and the true friendship that lies underneath is definitely part of the appeal of this series. The setting is wonderful, with majestic scenery, several old buildings, and some fascinating history. None of which detracts from the central plot. The mystery itself was a fascinating one. I had a great time trying to work out who the murderer was, alongside Joyce and Ginger.  If you’re looking for a great murder mystery, with a sparky and loyal friendship, and a glorious setting, this is the book for you.   Review - 5 out of 5 stars: I have loved the previous theee books in the Ally McKinley Mysteries series, so I was thrilled to get my hand on book four, Murder at the Highland Games. This time around, Ally has a family of Canadians staying. Pretty soon, a death occurs at the games, and Ally is soon sleuthing! I really enjoyed this book. I love coming back to the characters that I love (animals as well as humans). It’s nice to see Ally and Ross enjoying their life together, in spite of all the murders! The location was, as always, absolutely lovely. I love reading books set in beautiful locations, especially when the author has balanced and blended the descriptions so well with the main plot. The mystery was rather baffling to start with, there were so many people who might want the victim out of the way. The story kept me guessing until almost the end. Review - 5 out of 5 Stars: I’m a big fan of the Lady Eleanor Swift series, so I was thrilled to get my hands on A Very Irish Mystery, the latest instalment. Eleanor, Hugh, and Clifford are in Ireland again, chasing down a lead on her parent’s disappearance, and of course things are interrupted by a corpse. I very much enjoyed this book. It’s wonderful to see the members of the Byron Detective Agency working so smoothly together.  The mystery was a puzzling one. Every time it seemed someone might be guilty, things turned in another direction. It was very satisfying to finally find out who was the culprit. I also very much liked the setting, with lots of interesting places, and the women fighting for their rights. The descriptions of various delicious sounding food were also enjoyable. Overall, this was an excellent mystery, with favourite characters, and a great setting. I was given a copy of this book, my opinions are my own.
