I’ve been a fan of the Miss Underhay series since the very first book. And Murder at the Island Hotel is no exception.


It’s such a joy to be back with this group of favourite characters again. This time, Kitty, Matt, and Alice end up stuck in a hotel on an island with murders happening.


I really enjoyed reading this story. It was so much fun trying to figure out who had committed the murders, and there was a twist I definitely wasn’t expecting!


Overall, this was another fun and intriguing murder mystery in a favourite series. I can’t wait to read the next one.

But it’s not until Kitty uncovers Sir Norman’s financial difficulties that she’s on the killer’s trail. Can Kitty and Alice catch the culprit in time for tea, or will they become the next guests on the murderer’s list?


Fans of T.E. Kinsey, Agatha Christie or Lee Strauss will adore this warm and witty whodunnit. An utter delight to read!

Blog Tour - Murder in Mayfair

  Review - 5 out of 5 stars: I love the Lady Eleanor Swift mysteries, and Murder in Mayfair was no exception. This time, Eleanor is trying to solve a murder and a burglary at the same time. I really enjoyed being along for the ride as she frantically tries to find the truth.  Eleanor is a favourite character, I love her forthrightness and the way she never gives up. She’s also kind and compassionate. I loved the way that she, Clifford, and Hugh worked together on this case. The mysteries themselves were intriguing, and I enjoyed the way finding out new facts gradually revealed what had actually happened. And I was still surprised at the reveal!  As always, I enjoyed the historical notes at the end. A Death in Venice - Blog Tour

  I’ve loved the Lady Eleanor Swift Mysteries since the very first book, A Very English Murder, came out. A Death in Venice was no exception. This time, Eleanor, Clifford, and their animal and human entourage are in Venice. It’s not long before Eleanor gets wrapped up in a mystery! I loved reading this book, the plot is intriguing, and I enjoyed watching Eleanor try and figure it out, especially as there didn’t seem to be much in the way of motive to start with. The setting was excellent, and really different to anything we’ve seen Eleanor and Co tackle before. The colourfulness and unusual landscape of Venice really came through. It felt like the ideal setting for the intrigue of this particular story. Overall, this was an intriguing and exciting mystery, in a unique setting.
