Sarah Morgan has been a top 10 author for many years, so I grabbed Snowed in for Christmas! I was not disappointed.

I loved this book so much. I loved the setting (slightly isolated house in Scotland). I loved the snow (soooo Christmassy).

I loved the family, how they didn’t always see eye to eye, but ultimately really cared for each other and backed each other up. And l loved the way throwing Lucy into the mix made such a contrast and brought out the best in everyone. I loved all the romances too. I liked the fact that there’s a long established relationship, as well as several that are earlier on. I think my favourite character was Nanna Jean. She was just so funny, and lovely! And there’s a lovely dog too.

Overall, this story was both hilarious and heartwarming, simply a Christmassy delight. Perfect to get you into the festive spirit.

Blog Tour - Murder in Mayfair

  Review - 5 out of 5 stars: I love the Lady Eleanor Swift mysteries, and Murder in Mayfair was no exception. This time, Eleanor is trying to solve a murder and a burglary at the same time. I really enjoyed being along for the ride as she frantically tries to find the truth.  Eleanor is a favourite character, I love her forthrightness and the way she never gives up. She’s also kind and compassionate. I loved the way that she, Clifford, and Hugh worked together on this case. The mysteries themselves were intriguing, and I enjoyed the way finding out new facts gradually revealed what had actually happened. And I was still surprised at the reveal!  As always, I enjoyed the historical notes at the end. Overall, this was another excellent mystery from a favourite author.  I was given a copy of this book, my opinions are my own. Review: The Enforcer Enigma

The Enforcer Enigma by G.L. Carriger My rating: 5 of 5 stars Gail Carriger (aka G. L. Carriger) is my favourite author, and I will read anything she has written. I have high expectations, and she exceeds them every time.  This book was wonderful, just like all the others in this series. It was both hilarious and touching. It had a beautiful, heartwarming plot. As usual, the use of language is wonderful, and often playful, in a way that reminds me of P. G. Wodehouse (though the plot is obviously not alike).
