I have been a fan of Kate P Adams’ writing since the very first Charleton House mystery. I loved Murder En Suite (the first book in the Joyce & Ginger series), so naturally I read Murder in the Wings as soon as I received it.

I enjoyed this book so much. I wasn’t feeling well when I picked it up, and it was a wonderful distraction.

I loved reuniting with Joyce and Ginger. They’re such a great pair of characters. Joyce is quite out there sometimes, but she’s got a great heart. Ginger is quieter, but just as strong minded as Joyce. I love reading their banter, watching them interact is so much fun, and they’re also becoming really good friends. I love their determination to have fun AND find out the truth.

I also loved the mystery, which involves the past as well as the present. As always, it’s very well written, and I didn’t guess who the culprit was until very near the end.

If you’re looking for a fun story, with a great friendship and an interesting murder mystery, look no further. I can’t wait to see what Joyce and Ginger get up to on their next trip!

Blog Tour - Murder in Mayfair

  Review - 5 out of 5 stars: I love the Lady Eleanor Swift mysteries, and Murder in Mayfair was no exception. This time, Eleanor is trying to solve a murder and a burglary at the same time. I really enjoyed being along for the ride as she frantically tries to find the truth.  Eleanor is a favourite character, I love her forthrightness and the way she never gives up. She’s also kind and compassionate. I loved the way that she, Clifford, and Hugh worked together on this case. The mysteries themselves were intriguing, and I enjoyed the way finding out new facts gradually revealed what had actually happened. And I was still surprised at the reveal!  As always, I enjoyed the historical notes at the end. Review: The Enforcer Enigma

The Enforcer Enigma by G.L. Carriger My rating: 5 of 5 stars Gail Carriger (aka G. L. Carriger) is my favourite author, and I will read anything she has written. I have high expectations, and she exceeds them every time.  This book was wonderful, just like all the others in this series. It was both hilarious and touching. It had a beautiful, heartwarming plot. As usual, the use of language is wonderful, and often playful, in a way that reminds me of P. G. Wodehouse (though the plot is obviously not alike).
