Garters, Ghosts, and Wedding Toasts

Image
Review - 5 out of 5 stars: I have loved every book in the Southern Ghost Hunter series. Garters, Ghosts, and Wedding Toasts was no exception. It was such a joy to be back with Verity and her friends (and Skunk!). This time around, her sister Melody jumps at the chance of a free wedding, and, of course, ghostly and murderous chaos ensues! This book was a lot of fun. There was a host of excellent suspects, a number of ghosts, not to mention wedding guests etc. I very much enjoyed watching Verity juggle all these things and try to keep her soon to be brother in law safe. As usual, she managed it. Overall, this book was a joy to read, an excellent addition to a favourite series. I can’t wait to read Verity’s next adventure. I was given a copy of this book, my opinions are my own.

Blog Tour - Murder at Sea

Review - 4 out of 5 stars: I’ve been looking forward to reading Murder at Sea, and I really enjoyed it. Matt and Kitty unexpectedly end up on another trip to New York, this time on the trail of a long term adversary. I had a great time trying to solve the murders alongside Kitty and Matt. There were several excellent suspects, and being on board a ship made it harder to get information about them. The plot was good, moving in an unexpected direction several times. I always enjoy spending time with Kitty and Matt, and although I missed the animals, Alice, and other friends, there was always plenty to keep me entertained. Overall, this was an excellent mystery, with unexpected turns in the plot. I recommend the whole series. I was given a copy of this book, my opinions are my own. Blog Tour - Murder on the Cricket Green

Review - 5 out of 5 stars: I enjoyed all the previous books in the Martha Miller series, so I was thrilled to get my hands on Murder on the Cricket Green. This was another excellent mystery. There was a plethora of suspects with the motive, and I didn’t guess the culprit before the big reveal.  It was lovely to come back to a set of characters that feel like old friends, and a setting that I like. I really enjoy the people who now support Martha, and the way she’s coming out of her shell. Overall, this was a puzzling mystery, with great characters. I recommend the whole series. I was given a copy of this book, my opinions are my own. Blurb: Westleham Village, May 1948 The villagers of Westleham are excited for the first village cricket match since the end of the war. But Martha Miller has more pressing concerns - namely, the sudden reappearance of her husband, Stan, missing for two years and acting as though nothing has happened.  Martha doesn’t know what to feel, espec...
